Patricia Flaherty Pagan grew up in Red Sox Nation but has since traveled the world. She thought getting her MFA in creative writing from Goddard was hard, until she tried adopting two Indonesian street cats. She writes mysteries and literary short stories. Her specialty is creating complicated female characters facing interesting problems. Spider Road Press published her well-reviewed collection of literary short stories, Trail Ways Pilgrims: Stories
in March 2015. It includes the award-winning story about baby brokers in Asia, "Bargaining." Her mystery fiction has recently appeared in Eve’s Requiem: Tales of Women, Mystery and Horror. She edited Up, Do: Flash Fiction by Women Writers.
